For your own safety please take care, especially on the steeper inclines, uneven flooring and cobbled areas. The wearing of flat, rubber-soled shoes is recommended. People accompanying those in wheelchairs will need to be strong and able pushers.
Please be aware that Milford House grounds has uneven surfaces, deep water and areas that can become slippery. Each visitor is expected to take due care and attention during their visit and take personal responsibility for their actions.
Children should be closely supervised in all areas at all times.
The Historic Parkland
The paths are occasionally surfaced with gravel and mulch which can at times be muddy. Please take care and wear sensible footwear. Large areas of the grounds are wheelchair and pushchair accessible.
The House
The house is located over three floors floors with access to to various levels by staircase. There is a handrail at one side. Please be mindful of your step in the historic house, due to uneven flag flooring and the use of rugs.The groundfloor is fully accessible with no steps at front or rear entrance. There is a ground floor toilet facilities. Seating is available in most rooms. There are albums with pictures in them of the upper floors for visitors unable to access these rooms. Due to the historic nature of this house disabled access is limited. Please telephone in advance of your visit with your requirements and we will endeavour to assist you.
Parking
There is a limited parking space out the property. Car parking is available in nearby Armagh City.
Toilets/Disabled/Baby Change
The visitors' toilets are located on ground floor.. A Baby change facilities are located in the Cafe disabled toilet.
Coach Access
If travelling by coach, visitors can be dropped off outside the property or at nearby Armagh Goal or on The Mall. Coach parking is available in Armagh City. Please contact the estate office for details.
Photography and Filming
We welcome people taking photographs in the grounds of Milford House for personal use and research. Amateur photography (including filming) without flash is permitted in historic interiors at the Manager’s discretion, contact the Estate Office before your visit. As with outdoor photography, any photographs taken are strictly for private use, and enquiries about selling or publishing photographs should be directed to the Estate Office. However, visitors must be aware that the Milford Buildings Preservation Trust has copyright protection over all its collections . In these situations the Manager's decision as to whether photography is allowed is final.
