Everyone loves a ghost story and of course ghosts are associated with country houses. Milford House is no exception. During the time Milford House was home tocthe Manor House School many girls testify to seeing a girl in white ascending the stairs. I have met past pupils who remembered seeing her and testify it is real.

The story the girls were told was that she was Mr. McCrums daughter who had fallen down the stairs. While not to despute the past pupils stories this is simply not true. Robert Garmany McCrum has one daughter Mrs. Harriette Miller who lived to grand age of eighty eight. She died in a nursing home in Warrenpoint.

When I was a teenager I often set in rooms in the derelict Milford House and walked round the rooms and I never saw or heard anything.

We regularly get Paranomal groups visit the collections of Milford House in our town house in Armagh. They always say the objects give off many readings and they can hear noises and voices. So who knows perhaps the spirits of Milford House and thse who lived there are real!!

Anyway everyone loves ghost stories and haunted houses.
