Five boxes of costumes arrived from Wales at the beginning of February. Gifted to the Trust by Ceredigion Museum Wales, they were part of a collection of 5,000 items of costumes which are being deaccessioned to other museums. They include seventeen pairs of gloves, nine hats, nine pairs of shoes, petticoats, skirts, bodices, capes, fox furs and stoles. Most of the ladies costumes date to 1880s and 1890s. They will be used for education and living history interpretation.
