Milford House has a vast Library of books. In William McCrum's time he opened a lending library. Cyril Hyde who was a boy scout in Milford village remembers being able to borrow books from Milford House and said the boys had to sign a book for any books they borrowed. Sadly the great library of Milford House was dispersed at 1930 auction.
The books in the Library today mostly come from Drumsill House, the home of Mrs. Harriette Miller, the daughter of Robert Garmany McCrum of Milford House.
Set of Waverly Novels by Sir Walter Scott. Purchased by Rev. David Miller (husband of Harriette McCrum) in 1899. Every time he read a book he wrote the date on the back. Some of the Waverley novels he read sixteen times!
